About

A group built to connect what usually stays separate.

SourceAxis brings technology, expertise, institutions and opportunity onto one axis so that complex problems can be solved once and then scaled.

The name

Source and Axis.

Source stands for origin: the ideas, expertise, technology, resources and opportunities that a solution draws on.

Axis stands for the centre of movement: the point around which capabilities, industries and partnerships align and turn.

Together, the name describes our role. We locate the essential nodes and connect them into something that works.

Why we exist

Good intentions fail on integration.

Across public institutions, development programmes and growing enterprises, the same pattern repeats: capable teams, real funding, sound intentions — and systems that do not talk to each other, data that cannot be trusted, pilots that never reach scale, and platforms that stop being maintained once an external team leaves.

SourceAxis was established to work on that gap: between strategy and implementation, between separate systems, and between a first deployment and a service that keeps running.

Our foundation

Purpose, vision, mission and promise.

Purpose

To make capable technology usable in the places where it is hardest to implement, so that institutions and enterprises can deliver better services to the people who depend on them.

Vision

A connected technology group whose systems, ventures and partnerships raise the standard of digital infrastructure across Africa and the markets it trades with.

Mission

To identify complex operational challenges, assemble the right technology, expertise and partnerships, and design, build, integrate and support secure digital systems that grow from local implementation to regional and international scale.

Brand promise

We connect what you have, build what is missing, and leave your teams able to run it.

Values

Seven commitments, stated in operational terms.

These describe how work is scoped, staffed and delivered — not aspirations.

01

Practical judgement

We choose the solution that can actually be operated, funded and maintained in its environment.

02

Integrity in delivery

We state what is achievable, report progress accurately, and raise risks while they can still be addressed.

03

Collaboration as method

Client teams, partners and users work inside the delivery process. Decisions are made together and documented openly.

04

Interoperability by default

We build systems that expose clean interfaces and follow open standards, so others can connect to what we deliver.

05

Security and stewardship of data

Protection, consent and privacy are architectural decisions taken at the start and reviewed throughout.

06

Transferable knowledge

Documentation, training and paired delivery are part of scope. Success means your team can run the system without us.

07

Durable impact

We measure outcomes in service quality, cost, reach and reliability over time — not in launch announcements.

Operating environments

Designed for complexity, not for ideal conditions.

Emerging and fast-changing markets impose real constraints: uneven connectivity, mixed legacy systems, evolving regulation, procurement cycles that span years, and teams carrying more responsibility than headcount.

Focused delivery

Start with the problem that matters now.

We define a practical first scope, deliver it in reviewable stages and leave a clear path for future growth without making the initial solution unnecessarily complex.

Let's map the nodes of your next initiative.

Tell us the challenge you are working on. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right group to solve it, and how we would approach it.
